14 Weeks 1/27/13

Jeff did this awesome drawing on the chalkboard! How amazing is he? :) 

Got a little bump going on! Check out my new hair cut!

How far along? 14 weeks

Total weight gain: I gained back 1 pound!
Maternity clothes? Got a couple maternity tanks and a pair of maternity leggings, they are SO comfy!!  
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Sleeping pretty well, I am a little sore most days.  
Best moment this week: Went to the auto show with Jeff and ate some delicious fudge! We found my new realistic dream car as well – a Kia Sorrento (mommy car!)   
Miss Anything? My energy!!!!!!
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Still Citrus and Ketchup, my two favorite things!!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: When I get hungry, without warning and all the sudden I get horribly nauseated and nearly throw up.
Gender: Unknown – We find out February 27^th!!!!!!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Heartburn, nausea, exhaustion
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty moody most of the time!  
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender on February 27^th and my birthday on February 18^th!!!

13 Weeks 1/20/13

I couldn't use chalk on the chalkboard yet so Caitlin helped me out with a little computer animation! Our Turtle is the size of a Tangerine now!!! :)

How far along? 13 weeks

Total weight gain: I lost about 10 pounds in the first two months and have stayed there, so far 0 gain
Maternity clothes? Wearing leggings most of the time and sweats, I have some jean leggings that I am loving too
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Sleeping well, a couple strange dreams mostly right after I fall asleep, sore neck & shoulders
Best moment this week: I lasted an entire day without any nausea!  
Miss Anything? Tequila and Wine
Movement: None yet
Food cravings: Citrus and Ketchup, my ideal meal includes a water with 3 lemon or lime slices and fries (or anything else) with a giant pile of ketchup! I have eaten an entire lime in one sitting too!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing in particular, just life or smells. .
Gender: Unknown
Labor Signs: No

Happy or Moody most of the time: This week way more happy than any previous weeks (probably because I am feeling better) but VERY moody at random times throughout the day… just ask Jeff :)
Looking forward to: Looking cute in maternity clothes, my big gender reveal on facebook, and my baby shower!

Chalkboard!!!

Today my sister Caitlin helped me make a chalk board! Johnny helped us out but had to leave for pitching practice while we were working and Joline had softball practice so Caitlin and I hung out and made this awesome chalkboard and set up this blog!

To make my new chalkboard Caitlin, Johnny and I went to Salvation Army and found a picture with an awesome frame. Then we went to Home Depot and picked up some painters tape and some chalkboard paint and painted over the picture in the frame. It looks amazing!

Why Turtle?

On December 13 2012 we had our first ultrasound!

This is our very first picture of our baby!!

When we looked at the ultrasound picture we decided that it looked like a turtle and so we began calling it Our Turtle and the name just stuck!

When we found out!

We found out on Sunday November 25th 2012. Jeff left for work and I woke up just after he left, I had been feeling odd for the past few weeks (a little nausea, a lot of extra bathroom trips, and a lot of exhaustion) but I wasn't sure that I was pregnant, I was a little late so I took a test first thing that day and guess what I saw...

At this point I had about 8 hours left until Jeff came home from work and I was going CRAZY waiting to tell him!
